Hurom GI Review by juicenext.com

The Hurom Chef GI is a helpful tool for many kitchen tasks. It can do a lot, from juicing fruits and vegetables, grinding food items, to kneading dough. It’s made to help you in your everyday cooking. After using the Chef GI for a year, I can truly say that it’s an important part of my kitchen. I’ve used it mostly for juicing, and it’s done a great job. Now, let’s dig into more details in this Hurom Chef GI review.

Juicing Experience
One of the key features of the Chef GI is its extraction capability. The machine uses a fine strainer to ensure the complete separation of nutrients from the fibrous compounds in fruits and vegetables. This method provides a smooth texture to the juice.
However, I’ve found that sometimes the juice can come out a bit pulpier than I would prefer. This seems to be especially true when juicing celery. If you’re a fan of ultra-clear juice, you may find this to be a slight downside. A simple solution I found was using an additional IKEA RIKLIG strainer to filter the juice straight away from the juicer.

Pros
Great looking & simple design for your kitchen
Really simple and fast cleaning, much easier than any other juicer I’ve tried.
There is no need for cutting fibrous vegetables on small parts (e.g. celery) as this is the case with other “non horizontal” juicers. For others juicers you need to cut fibrous vegetables on on 4cm pieces. The reason for this is that vertical juicers have chamber lids with knifes and are able to cut the pulp.

Cons
I’ve found that sometimes the juice can come out a bit pulpier than I would prefer. This seems to be especially true when juicing celery. If you’re a fan of ultra-clear juice, you may find this to be a slight downside. The black piano finish on the top of the juicer is prone to micro scratches. But this is generally a problem with glossy piano finish surfaces.
The included container for juice can become cloudy over time. In my case, I believe the cloudiness was caused by celery juice. Now, I prefer to use a separate glass container for collecting juice.

Overall Thoughts
Despite the slight issues with pulpy juice, I find the Hurom Chef GI Series to be a great investment. It’s a reliable, high-quality machine that fits to a wide array of culinary needs.
In terms of future testing, I am excited to try out the other functionalities of the Chef GI, such as grinding ingredients, kneading dough, and making rice cakes.
Next on my list for review is the Hurom HZ, and I’m eager to compare the juicing results with those of the Chef GI.
In conclusion, I would certainly recommend the Hurom Chef GI Series to anyone looking for a durable, multi-functional kitchen appliance that delivers excellent performance and is easy to maintain.
